Rollerdrome's intense high flying action acid drops you into one hell of an experience. The game makes quick work to catch up you up to speed and send you down a mega ramp to the future that is 2030. Once I made to the third level I was hooked. Mechanics were starting click and managing combat and style together was producing a very enjoyable experience.

There's something inherently cool about doing a 540 backflip as you fire slugs from your shotgun. The slo-mo (reflex) makes all of this possible without much effort needed. While it is beneficial to land on your feet, if you don't your senses kick in and you roll to avoid a nasty slam. This keeps the danger side of things for the enemies to handle.

I played through the main story once, going through each level at least twice to check off challenges and unlock the next stage. This pacing was near perfect for me, not too long, not too short, just right. In the later levels difficulty ramps up to a challenging degree, keeping gameplay interesting and rewarding.

Upon completion of the main story a harder difficulty is unlocked. I've only played through the first level on "hard" and boy is it intense.

I'm no THPS fanatic, but I loved this game from start to finish.

My IGN Score: 8.3/10
