My experience with Arena Breakout: Infinite has been exceptional. It genuinely feels criminal that this game is free. I legit WANT to spend money on it to support the devs and the amazing product they have provided.

This is my first time with a Tarkov-like game, and I am blown away. It is addicting, has zero performance issues, runs crisp/smooth, and features such an engaging gameplay loop. I love extracting and selling my items, stockpiling money, getting decked out, and repeating - and even though it SUCKS to get killed and lose your inventory, the risk and intensity floods my system with dopamine.

I usually tend to veer far from free-to-plays, but the quality seen here is AAA and deserves both your time and money (I bought the battle pass for 4.99, and it was well beyond worth it). As a pre-med student, this has been an extraordinary break from my studies and has allowed for a much needed brain-reset

As a free-to-play extraction shooter, I rate Arena Breakout: Infinite a 10/10

Maaan, this ish was heat. Easily my favorite GOW game, and with good reason. The combat is perfected, the gore is visceral, the multiplayer modes (especially Escape and Horde) are some of the most fun I've had in a while, and the story was genuinely a blast to gun through with my wife. Seeing characters like Clayton, Cole, and Marcus interact again was awesome, and I loved both JD and Fahz. Kait had her moments, but was a tad annoying, and Del was a real one - albeit a tad cringe at times. Also, shoutout to the homie Jack.
I loved the variety of weapons, I loved the shootouts with the Juvies, and man, the boss fights were both incredibly challenging and adrenaline pumping. I seriously don't understand why Gears 5 has mixed reviews. I get it, there are micro-transactions, just don't buy the cosmetics if you're that opposed. Also, the performance issues some reviews keep mentioning? Get a better PC. I did not experience a single glitch or any lag. Either I'm tripping, or you are.

Yo, Microsoft/Coalition, bring the other games from the series to Steam. Please, daddy? For kitten?

Overall, I'd rate GOW 5 a 9/10

Gears of War: Reloaded was my first experience with the entry title in the GOW series. For a game that originally released in 2006, GOW: Reloaded aged quite gracefully. The graphics are wonderful, and while the gore and certain animations are a bit clunky/dated, it didn't distract from the overall experience. It is quite short (got it completed in about 7.5 hours), but that was okay because I've been getting a bit burnt on the 40+ hour campaigns.

The multiplayer was a bit janky, and it took some time to get into a match, but it was fun from what I experienced. I'm not quite sure why the reviews are so mixed. What were people expecting? And the rants about no local split screen seems a bit odd to me - why would you play split screen on a PC? I know it's possible, yes, but very archaic; go play it on the 360 if you want the classic experience. Also, the complaints about it being too "colorful" and the comparisons to fortnite are just outright bait. I'm soooo sorry the mud and piss filter was removed for a more realistic color palette. I swear, Nostalgia removes all logic from these people's brains. I get it, you loved coming home from middle school and loading up GOW with your buddy and chugging some Code Red Mtn. Dew, but you're old now, Unc. You're gray. To quote Dewy from Malcolm in the Middle, "The Future is now, old man."

Overall, I'd rate GOW: Reloaded a 7/10

This is, hands down, the best ubisoft game I've ever played to date. The open world is astonishingly large, detailed, and beautiful. The gameplay is smooth, responsive, and addicting. The story was tense, binge-worthy, and full of WTF moments that I absolutely loved. I loved how fun it was to drive the various vehicles, how perfect the gunplay was, and the extreme variety of missions and ways to complete them. I dare even say that Wildlands has made its way into my top ten favorite games of all time. I played the entire story in co-op with my wife, and would recommend playing in a similar fashion (co-op, and not with AI teammates). I seldom encountered any bugs, and when I did they were easily overcame. My only gripe would be that some of the checkpoints are rather unforgiving and set you back quite a bit if you die mid mission, or near the end.

Overall, I'd rate Ghost Recon: Wildlands a 10/10

I've gotta say, I'm having a blast with Killing Floor 3! It's easily the most violent game in the series, and the melee is incredibly satisfying. I love the replayability, and I cannot wait for more maps, bosses, cosmetics, and classes to be released! The missions and objectives they've implemeted have been both fun and addicting, and I hope they add more in the future seasons. The graphics and implementation of Lumen are stunning, and I seriously just cannot get enough of this game. Some people are saying Killing Floor 3 behaves as an early access, but besides a few slight frame drops here and there, I can't really see what they're saying. For $40, you get like six or so maps, three bosses, multiple classes, with more FREE content to come. Do you need a beefy PC to run this game? Yes. Is that a bad thing? Not really, imo. I wish I could see my legs when I look down in game, but that is just a personal preference - besides that, there are absolutely no gripes on my end and I do not regret pre-ordering!

For those who want a fun time, go ahead and buy it! If you don't think there is enough content, just wait a few months and Tripwire will deliver just like they did with Killing Floor 2.

Overall, I rate Killing Floor 3 an 8/10

Stellar Blade is refreshing in such an oversaturated market of games full of trash. First and foremost, I want to praise just how phenomenal the soundtrack is. I have seldom played a game with as good of a soundtrack as Stellar Blade. The combat is fast, responsive, and violent. The optimization is smooth, removed of any glitches or bugs, and runs at high FPS with no stutters. More games need to be released in this state, and I believe Stellar Blade will be the new industry standard.

Now, usually I only review a game once finished, but I felt the need to write down my praise for the game in the face of all the blacklash and criticism from western journalists that have been erroneously labeling this game as "porn" or "misogynistic". A big talking point is that Eve serves as fuel for the "Male Gaze", and that women don't look like her. First and foremost, Eve is a 3D rendered replica of a REAL LIFE Korean model. Woman with curves exist, and I hate to break it to all of these journalists, but the fat on a woman's chest and butt will *gasp* bounce with movement - it's almost like there exist a law of motion called physics - shocking, I know! There is no sexual content in the game, no nudity, and no objectification; western journalist are just projecting their lack of confidence and excessive resentment toward attractive women who are both feminine yet capable. I'm so relieved that Shift-up refused to censor the release and has doubled down on the content. Unfortunately a majority of Western developers have abandoned feminity and embraced ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ androgynous, genderless characters who are self inserts of troubled developers who want to be praised for mediocrity. As Western gamers, we must mainly rely now on our Eastern neighbors to bring us games with both depth and characters who are pleasing to the human psyche. There's a reason why games like Stellar Blade, Persona, Catherine, MGS, Neir Automata, and Bayonetta are such classics revered by gamers while games like Concord, outlaws, and Veilguard (buzzwords, I know, but recent prime examples) are hated and undersold.

With that tangent out of the way, when it comes to Stellar Blade's story, I am intrigued and fascinated by the world building and the mysterious nature behind Mother-Sphere and the alien invasion! As you can see by my playtime, I'm only 9 hours in, so I don't feel as though I can give a definitive rating quite yet, but I am loving it and can't wait for more! Updates to come

Probably one of the best horde shooters ever made. My playtime may seem low, but I played the crap outta WWZ on my ps4 back on release. The gameplay is addicting, the gore is chunky and visceral, the graphics are gorgeous, and the amount of content is refreshing (if you get AFTERMATH). I wouldn't recommend playing in first person, but the third person default has obviously been mastered by the devs and responds amazingly well. There is weight behind each gun, and they are all satisfying to shoot. I wish more games felt as responsive and swift. I am also impressed by the sheer number of zombies that can be on screen on once - easily hundreds if not thousands, especially on XL horde mode.

I'm trying to find negatives, but can't see anything that sticks out. Some may be turned off that their are no checkpoints, and if you die the entire mission restarts, but I find that one of the more appealing aspects - it makes your tactics feel more relevant, and highlights the need for perfect strategy to complete a mission. Another turn off for some may be that there exists a couple of locked missions that are behind a paywall, but for what its worth, they're only 10 bucks and offer a good amount of content. Lastly, the soundtrack is pretty mid, but who cares when the sound design is otherwise flawless.

Hats off to Saber Interactive. WWZ has brought hours of fun horde massacring for me and my wife with many more to come, so thank you.

I rate multiplayer games a tad different from singeplayers; a 10 for a multiplayer being different from a 10 for a singleplayer (I rate singleplayer games more so off emotional impact, story, soundtrack, etc.... whereas multiplayer is mainly gameplay and the overall "fun" scale). As it stands, I'd give WWZ a 10/10 as a multiplayer title- it has perfected the horde shooter mechanic and seldom any other game can compare. Obviously don't buy the game looking for a deep story, but if you're in the market for a gore-soaked, gun blazing apocalyptic shooter for you and the homies (or in my case, my wife), then it's absolutely worth the $40.

I was going to wait until I finished a few different routes, but after finishing Vel's I had to come and write a raving review about this gem of a game!

First and foremost, this is one of the best visual novel hybrids I have ever played. Traditional VN's are great, but Love Esquire takes dating sim as well as RPG mechanics and mashes it all into one masterfully. Take your waifu on a date in the morning, go slay creatures in the afternoon with your homie Hugh, then train your stats in the evening (or swap those around to your heart's content). There's gift buying, dialogue choices, and DRASTIC replayability. Each route is so different that it feels like each girl is their own individual game. Also, it is completely voiced in English, and even Squire (the MC) is fully voiced. This game has heart, is unique, and is full of amazing story that gives countless hours of fun. As a university student who also works security, I have to be selective with what I play; I don't want to waste my time on a bad game with what little time I already have, and I can promise that Love Esquire is not only worth your money, but your time as well! Hats off to the developers!

Overall, I rate Love Esquire a 10/10

What a ride. Eternights had been sitting in my library for a while with me constantly telling myself I'd get around to it. Well, I did, and I wish I'd played so much sooner

Eternights scratched an itch very few games have ever. I love persona, but there are a few gripes I have with how the series handles romance, and Eternights nailed it just perfectly in a way that left me in tears at the ending (Yuna best girl). I'm so glad I stayed loyal to just one girl, because the game rewards you with a special ending by putting a QR code at the end of the credits that shows you a cutescene with happier implications.

As for the story and gameplay, both were phenomenal. It's like a mix of Dark souls and (a more adult themed) Persona. It was fun, challenging, and left me wanting a sequel; sure, the conflict was resolved, but there's so much lore that I'd love to explore. I'm not sure how anyone could complain or negatively rate this gem. I eagerly await the devs next release and will be buying on launch, no hesitation.

Overall, I rate this masterpiece a 10/10

The first Last of Us was monumental in my eyes. I played it in 2014 as the age of 12, and it was a game changer. I loved everything about it, playing through the story over 4 times. Years went on, and The Last of Us Pt 2 was announced, and I was hyped - I was ready for the next steps in the story. Unfortunately, I boarded the hate train when I discovered some of the leaks and vowed to never play it. Years and years passed, and then the PC release was announced. Between the time of the initial release and the PC release, I had plenty of time to mature and come to my own conclusions about several aspects regarding life. One of those aspects was not to trust the opinions of others, and to form my own opinions. I had realized that there were several projects I absolutely loved, but others hated, and I wondered if Last of Us pt 2 would be the same....

It was the same. It is one of the best games I have ever played. The combat, the atmosphere, the story, the aesthetic - everything molded together to create a masterpiece. Are there some plot points that I found a bit disagreeable? Sure, sure, but that's the beauty of being an individual - what I found to be a bit preachy is what another found to be poetic and necessary. I am okay with being exposed to themes that I may disagree with, because that's our reality.

The ending of this game is quite controversial, but honestly? I loved it. I did not want Abby to die because she had much more moral ground than Ellie ever did. Look, I grew up playing as and adoring Joel, but what he did at the end of pt 1 was horrific. Put yourself in Abby's shoes - your father, one of the last doctors alive presumably, is on the verge of finding the cure to save all of mankind, and a selfish smuggler murders him (along with countless others you have grow up with) in cold blood. I would want revenge, too.

All in all, I loved the game, and if you're on the fence, I'd encourage you to buy it and form your own opinion as I did. There are several parts throughout that are adrenaline pumping and breathtaking; namely the siege on the island, the lower levels of the hospital, and various parts of Seattle.

Overall rating: 10/10
