Valheim is lightning caught in a bottle.

It for me scratches that itch of wanting a viking game so I can immerse myself in norse mythology without taking itself too seriously.

It has a strong set of building mechanics that allow for simple buildings or detailed works of art.

It has a good learning curve, where you start with simple tools and work your way up to items that are better and new materials to craft with.

It has indepth world and lore building with various biomes that can be explored paired with randomly generated worlds mean replayability is very high.

Mod support is present with a strong community making quality content to supplement an already rich in content game.

With over 1500hrs in play time I can safely say it is worth the money I spent.
