It's a good-looking refresh, but it's not worth it. The targets are difficult to click on, and you can't switch to a free-cursor mode like Quern, making it even harder. Also, no Rime.

Give this one a pass unless you're a Myst completionist. If you really want to play an old game, I recommend the old versions.

It starts out very exciting, but rapidly devolves into frustration. Most of your time will be spent fighting with the game to actually try to play it. The game wants you to view and review each scene, but to unlock a scene you have to find each body twice, and to review it you have to remember which body is associated with it and find that body again, despite having your handy journal that should let you quickly jump between scenes.

The puzzles are similar: some are clever, but at the end, you have to make baseless guesses to identify people. The clues are half-assed, such as the Chinese topmen not being identifiable in their crucial scene. You can't even highlight them in that scene to mark them in your journal.

If you're the kind of person who rarely finishes games, or enjoys frustration, this game is for you. If you're expecting an engaging story, I highly recommend you skip it, because you'll be disappointed.

If you liked Doom (2016), skip this one. Rip & tear is gone, replaced by constantly trying to juggle health, armor, and ammo replenishment, while also trying to master all the fighting combos. Pretty much every other aspect (story, exploration, unlockable extras) is present but made worse in some way.

I got as far as the mid-game boss battle, the Marauder, when after I just barely beat him, the game crashed. I give up.

Excellent little game. Feels like Portal meets Mirror's Edge. Less than an hour's worth of playtime, but I enjoyed almost every second.

Some of the puzzles are a little frustrating, and there are a handful of bugs, but nothing game-breaking. The puzzles and mechanics are fairly easy to grasp, and the whole game flows very nicely. I especially liked how in the last level, while you need to run, jump, and shoot, it's very easy to continue your flow if you miss a jump and die. Did not pass the frustration threshold for me.

With more levels, a more fleshed-out world and plot, and plenty of polish, this could easily be a full game, and a good one at that. Highly recommend.

Great game, but I cannot recommend it until it supports Steam Cloud for the save files.
