This game is absolutely amazing, it honestly feels so surreal playing a Sonic game with the polish of a AAA game.
The Shadow Generations side is alone, worth the price admittedly the content is not that long but the short time you have with the main story is nothing short of some of the best 3D Platforming we've had since Gens or Unleashed. The soundtrack is top tier as always and the animation is absolutely insane Shadow and everyone move like Pixar characters they're honestly a joy to watch, the story is good and I think that this is Kirk's best game yet although he still has nothing on my GOAT Griffith. The doom powers are fun to use apart from the Doom Morph not a fan, and even the 2D levels are fun which surprised me!

EDIT: Going from Shadow Gens smooth buttery 120fps to Sonic's 60 is quite jarring but thats the only thing that's annoyed me so far speaking of performance and optimisation the game ran great. I played the entire Shadow Gens portion on ultra settings 120fps with no dips at 1440P the game looks beautiful.

I haven't played the Sonic Generations portion yet but it's relatively unchanged gameplay wise with some slight increase in visuals? They rewrote parts of the story which is fine by me as it doesn't really have a story anyway. As some critics and user reviews have pointed out the game will feel weird compared to Shadow Gens, because Gens really hasn't changed gameplay wise (There are story changes and some extra side stuff which is nice) which is a bit of a shame imagine if we got OG Gens in Hedgehog engine 2 either way this was the FINAL BRICK in cementing for me that SONIC REALLY IS BACK and I am SO SO
SO HYPED FOR FRONTIERS 2

8.5/10

ALL HAIL SHADOW
