I found the game to be deep, rich, complex and beautiful. Exploring and navigating your way around a lore rich world with amazing story and fully voice acted characters really is a great experiance for any RPG fan. The choices that can be made regarding your party and how you engage and perform in battles is nearly limitless. Give your self time to learn the mechanics as there is just a lot to take in... You may wander into battles you are not ready for, you may not have seen those vines to climb up the first 3 times you scanned the area, but stick with it. It is incredibly rewarding once the mechanics become second nature to you.

The story and game play more than make up for any short comings I found with the game. It far exceeded the expectations that I had for it.

If you have an interest in RPGs, in turn based combat, in detailed character arcs and can sit down for a few solid hours and invest some time then I feel even at full release price this game is worth it. Simply buy and let it wash over you.
