I have probably over 500 hours of Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch - just getting this now for the Steam Deck because hey, it runs a lot better and looks nicer.

This is by far the best Monster Hunter there is to date - Monster Hunter 4G: Ultimate is a close second. The QoL improvements are many, the wirebug system is SUPER fun to use and adds more versatility in combat, and Wyvern riding adds more chaos. While some of my favorite monsters are excluded in this one (Kecha Wacha, Tetsucabra, Najarala, Nerscylla, and Gore Magala) there are still loads of other monsters that I love to fight. If you're curious about Monster Hunter and wanted a nice introductory game to start with, I would recommend this over both Worlds and Wilds.

Also, now you get dogs with your cats.
