Read the reviews and got a bit worried, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s like entering Skyrim for the first time all over again. The textures are as promised: gloriously scaled up so you can see every detail on the Imperial's chainmail or the fur on the Stormcloak's armor; The light rays add a subtle beauty that we no longer have to use mods to achieve; The antialiasing appears to be the same TAA used in Fallout 4 - more of a preferential thing, but I personally love it.

I'm sorry to those of you having performance issues, but my game runs at a glorious 60+ FPS, not a single moment of stutter indoors or out, action or peace, saving or loading (the last two are notably faster, to boot.) If you're having trouble, fear not - I imagine it's only a short time before we get patches or driver updates that will fix all these problems. If not, I'll come back and edit this review to acknowledge that lack of attention!

Those wishing for more of an upgrade to the graphical systems improved in this edition need to remember that, as a company, Bethesda is making a game for the general populace, for console and PC players alike, not just those with an Intel 6700k and SLI GTX 1080's - the game needs to run well (on appropriate settings, of course) across as many machines as possible to sell copies. Could they have added a "Super exterme ultra mode" of even /better/ graphics? Maybe. But why waste the space when we'll all be adding mods anyway? The changes they did make are definite improvements over the original.

Now, will the game be prettier with mods? Almost definitely. But, if the changes made in this version of the game are to your liking, you can cross a few of your previously "necesarry" mods off your list (thus saving you space and incompatabilities for more gameplay improving/adding mods, which I always found to be most important to me anyway!)

Is it worth $40? Maybe, maybe not. I'm biased getting it for free. But, if you want something that has some notable improvements and graphical fidelity, why not go for this $40 version that includes all the DLC instead of paying $20 each for the base game and DLC (Though, fair enough, Steam Sales often cut those prices down a lot.) There's nothing wrong with the vanilla Skyrim experience, though, and mod support, while maybe intended to be improved with this edition, may take some time to catch up with vanilla if there are any sort of compatability issues.

TL;DR: This version has some notable improvements on the Vanilla Skyrim experience, especially in a graphical sense. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't matter if you play this or the original - just play the game, mod to your heart's content, and have fun. Both are f*cking rad.

I feel like I should keep this review as brief as possible because, as others have said, the game is best going in mostly blind.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of story driven games with awesome characters and, while I do watch the odd scary movie, I'm not too big into them.

However, Oxenfree did horror right. Consistantly eerie and just enough shock (minor jump scares, nothing too in your face,) with a perfect balance between the comic relief, creepy build up, and scary moments.... This is the way horror games are meant to be.

While playing, I was constantly working to uncover all the stories and secrets behind the game world, and that kept me going through the spooky moments - and, it was well worth it in the end!

Quick and easy to learn, but with so much depth beyond that.

Custom race builder is so much fun to work with, to see what combinations you come up with.

Overwall one of the better strategy games I've played lately.

I didn't have high hopes, and I was disappointed anyway.

I have a good computer and get great performance in game, and yet this feels like a MOBA playing in slow-mo. Everything feels like it's increidbly clunky or running in low fps, even when I'm supposedly getting a solid 50-60 fps all the time.

Singleplayer (and probably co-op) is okay, but for a game with such an emphasis on its PvP modes, I can't really say anything else good about it. All the skills feel way too slow and there's not enough feedback. I can never tell when I'm hitting enemies, or when I'm getting hit.

Everyone needs to play this game. Game devs, players... Everyone.

I don't know how else to explain it to you without ruining the story for you, but this game is worth far more than the price tag lets on, and if you look at how long I played it... Well, it wasn't long. But I got my money's worth out because of the message this game presents.

I don't really have the words to describe it more than that. Might come back to this review sometime later and expand upon my thoughts, but for now I just need to think.
