In terms of gameplay, I think this game improves upon the original. And the hud is an improvement upon the original. But in terms of the fanbase, it is a bit more toxic than the original. But honestly nothing someone who's played a few games of Counter Strike couldn't handle. But overral, if you like DoD, you'll love DoD: Source
