This game is lovely in so many ways theres just... too... much... crafting... I didn't mind slime science in the 1st game cause it wasn't absolutely core to EVERYTHING you're doing, its way too big of a focus in this game and it makes exploration a lot less satisfying (oh joy i found a capsule in a cool spot...! 4 another blueprint to craft things or for a crafting ingredient! can't wait to grind more to craft them!) and the pacing a lot worse. The areas are a joy to explore, the new slimes are wonderful, the music and atmosphere are captivating, its just a game that I have to take in short bursts cause theres just way too much crafting. I don't think it'd be so bad if the resource amounts for everything weren't so high or if you had more readily accessible automation, but for a game that you don't much automation until late in the game... why...

It's a cautionary maybe if you're a fan of the first, if you don't mind grindy crafting then you'd probably like this plenty. I kinda like it, its just.. a bit of a dissapointing step down in the core loop. Keep the crafting if the devs wish, just plz reduce the needed resource amounts by a good amount... also bring back rad slimes
