This is a case of learning from past mistakes and implementing fixes that are fun and fair. The improvements in gameplay are spectacular and make this a must own for nearly any gamer, both new and old. Then the beautiful mixture of story and world building. One of the best old school RPG's I've played.

So like I said in my Fallout review this game fixes nearly every gameplay issue I had from the first one. The VATS hit calculations seem far more logical and correct, though it suffers a few times in a playthrough. I did not feel like rage quitting because of it at any point like the original did so many times. Thank you for this improvement.

Criticals, another point from my Fallout review, vastly improved. So now enemies will actually do damage to you throughout the game, and criticals won't drain you in a single shot usually. Once again I found the new system of critcals to be fair and appropriate.

So the story takes a step backward but then takes two more forward. The stepbackward is the depth of the NPC's. That has left, unfortunately, but has been replaced with greater variety. These enhance the world quite a bit, while giving you a little wish that some NPC's were used a little more. It's a better trade off in the end, because not only does it build story within The Chosen One's life but it also creates world depth. So this could go either way depending on your preference.

Add onto all of this more weapons and items. Then a Highwayman to boot. This is a monumental increase in gameplay making this a fun game and a great story.
