very intriguing game, wonderful for a seeker or philosopher
to me it is def worth more time than I assumed to have in the first place, pay attention to the messages showing up when you start the game
the writing is very creatively descriptive and accompanied by quality, entertaining, thoughtfully done voice acting
the hand-drawn art matches the tone of the rest of the game - it also does not feel "static" and there is a lot of it, consistently done, varied in subject matter, always a fantastic complement to what is currently happening
It is difficult to describe the experience in words

Fantastic and solid game, it was worth the wait - and I can't get enough of these soundtracks (Steel Vampire, Maiden of a Hollow Dream, and Angel at Dusk)
The unique feel of the music matches the unique feel of the game- I've played lots of shmups, none of them play like this one, the game encourages you to get up close and plays off that, Fun bullet patterns on bosses
Also, the game has mult. tutorials, one of which will teach the basics of shmups to complete beginners
or skip it and move on if you are a game warrior

I recommend this and the other 2 games I mentioned, for fun and satisfying, truly unique gameplay that you can learn and progress at, and the soundtracks for every game are very good if you like any of them!

*Never played or saw anyone play before the recent Combat Update*

The action feels satisfying and responsive. Each weapon type has its own variations of moves (ex: bash with a Mace isn't same as bash with Fists), lots of variety in types, too: 1h and shield, monk fists, magic staves, scythes and sickles, giant ♥♥♥♥-off 2h swords to live out any of your Guts or Cloud fantasies, others I'm not mentioning
It has a unique art style done with use of minimal color palettes which you can unlock more of and switch between at will
The music is pleasing and feels consistent with the style of the game, I love the 'hub area' music and many others
The combat is deep and has a satisfying learning curve while the levels seem designed to be short and focused enough to let the action remain the main attraction - whoa those last 5 words wanted to be a palindrome but failed. Shamefur dispray
Progress inside and outside of your attempts, there is a progression map, useful unlockables and lots of unlockable classes, well-done writing (but not a text-heavy game), upgrades feel useful, lots of effects on weapons like explosions when you parry, ok i'm done listing things

TL;DR
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! it's Golden Light + Slasher's Keep + DMC and it works very well

I grew up with the best FPS, I've played most of the new ones in the past few years
This game had me on the fence at first, but after I went for it - holy hell is it nice
It feels truly unique with the visuals/sound effect style, music, the level design itself; unconventional in the best way, logical progression through stages with fun unpredictability, never know what is next and haven't found myself getting lost or stuck.
There is another game that this one might make you think of, it was a very good game - this one takes the cake in all categories for me though, gunplay, atmosphere, progression (you can even upgrade weapons a la RE4) - NOT THAT they need to be compared or anything, going for diff. things, but I did it anyway

This game has some decent stuff going for it (if you're in to slow-paced unintuitive fighting games and gore so comical it won't even make your body flush with heat and feel like puking) but this woke ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is just something I am done with - if you relate to that, I'd stay away unless you really wanna just have fun and aren't feeling like an heroing tonight

If you are looking for a unique experience, you found one and it appears to be very well done at the beginning of early access

Procedural everything alone with a simulated history for each world you generate works very well here
I am excited to play more

If you still have amazing coordination and quick reflexes this game is really fun, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the sun
