Finally after almost 310 hours , I have completed every achievements in the game, defeated all optional bosses, getting all the ultimate weapons, maxing all ascension , getting lvl 10 on every character skills , fishing all the ultimate fishes , craft the strongest magic, getting to lvl 120 on all characters, play through all DLCs , craft the game lvl 5 steam badge, play the game at highest setting on 4K resolution with the 4K DLC , I can finally say that I am actually done with the game this time. The only thing that I miss from the game would be not experiencing HDR of this game because FFXV supportS HDR but I dont have a HDR monitor yet so I will probably come back to this game once I bought a HDR monitor .


I used to play the game around 3 years ago , I had already completed the game after around 200 hrs of gameplay time but I can not say it was a truly satisfied experience . The version of the game that I used to play was a cracked version and I played it on my office laptop so even with the lowest setting , i can barely ran it at 30 FPS at max. However i still determine to play the game till the end because I just simply can't wait to play more of the game . This is probaly the 7th or 8th Final Fantasy game I have played and i have to say it must be top 1 ,2 or 3 together with XII and X ( TBH , i dont even know which game is better )


Now after 3 years , i have upgraded my PC and bought the game, I can say that right now at this moment is when I actually enjoy it . I was really hesitating of buying the game at first because I have already completed everything the game has had to offered ( except comrades ) but The game is just so good that this time I decide no matter how long it takes , I will definitely Platinum it .

Ok, actual review :

Graphic : Plus

This game Graphic is just beyond expectation . Even after 3 years , upgrading my rigs to the latest technology, I can't still play the game at stable 60 FPS with Ultra setting at every option with 4K DLC, with 200% Resolution scale at 1080p. However it is all worth it . the buildings do need some more work since they are not really high resolution. But overall, if you look from the outside and just not too focus on one thing then the game graphic is definitely the best thing I have ever seen so far in a Open world game, it is still behind Red Dead Redemption 2 though ( actually no game can pass rdr 2 or Rockstar in term of graphic at this point )

Music : Plus

Nobuo Uematsu no longer in charges of Final Fantasy Soundtrack so I was a little bit worried but then I heard Yoko Shimomura ( Kingdom Hearts composer ) will be the one who do all the works for Final Fantasy XV . I was really happy. Every track is amazing. The game does not have a wide variety of soundtrack but quality over quantities. Every track all give the player a specific emotion that she want you to feel in that one specific location or that particular situation you are in . Nobuo Uematsu also came back in XV in the Comrades DLC . He said " Choosing Hope " , the Comrades main theme is probably his greatest work ever. Story : Plus ( Minus if players don't Play the DLC or don't trying to fully understand its full concept )

Final Fantasy XV is a rebuild game of someone else so the game story is really messy . It is all over the place. You have to fully read the documents in game , play the DLC, watch the movies Kinglaives, Read the novel Dawn of the Future to fully understand the ambition behind creating the massive universe of XV. The Story of XV is so bare- boned on the surface, especially in the later stage of the game. But when you actually try to understand and do all of the things above and piece them together ( which not many people do ) then I can say for sure that no Final Fantasy game can ever have such depths and twists that XV has. The story from the past through generations, from the Founders to the 113th king, The game course through millennium , over the time and space. It is a story of the past , the current days and the future. Oh and story of the DLC are just really amazing, let me say that least. There is an alternative ending in one of the DLC so you should definitely check it out .

Gameplay : Minus ( or Mixed if you are a fan of flashy effects but this is probably a part of graphic ) but it has a wide variety until the end game and in DLC

Gameplay is just too easy as long as you are not underleveled. Your team mates are kinda useless , and act as support for your main characters only . They barely have any impacts on the gameplay besides being a punching bag for the bosses the beat until they changed attention to you . Most of the features the game offers give no quality value, you can use it , sure but they dont have any traits that makes them better than your normal Attack . Magic is totally not cool unless you are in the later stage in the game. Devs made the magic is such a chore and burden to use. Summon is strong but it is not portrayed in a way I want it to be . They rarely appear in boss fight , when we actually need them the most . However you do have the variety in your gameplay. You have to determine the enemies weaknesses and use the corresponding weapons or magic in order to maximize your damage . The DLC game play are really great and DEVS implemented them in the main game too so you can freely switch for a fresh breath. However they dont really Yeild any benefits over controlling Noctis. .

Optimization : Mixed

The game lighting and camera need serious rework for the game to give a better enjoyment. What is the point of having great scenery with cool boss if the camera does not actually let you view them. Devs put normal monsters in open world, while bosses they put in narrow cave with black , boring background. I understand this suits the ideas of the bosses better . But maybe something like fighting a boss at the beach, or in a city where they wreck havoc could be more amazing in my opinion. The game also crashed a lots recently for me. Comrades is plain terrible if you dont have friends to play with , even with friends , it will just be less of a hassle to play . Game also never stay at full screen after each log in , sometime it will randomly changes to borderless , sometimes to windows. It even reduce my resolution scale from 200 to 150 without me touching anything .

Overall: this game chemistry between characters is the best things you could ever hope for in your lonely life. If you like it then U like it. You might be pissed off if u are a long time hard core fan of Final Fantasy series. I myself also a long time fan of this series but this game is just what I have always been long for. With a little more works put in , it could have been one of the game that people have to remember and told their kids about
