I don't know what it is about Dark Souls 2 that I like more than the other DS games. Everyone says that DS2 is the worst souls game in the series but I'd argue that it's the best. I tried Dark Souls 3 but quickly refunded it because something about it just didn't feel right, maybe the rolling animations were weird, I don't know, and Dark Souls 1, while I do enjoy it, just doesn't have the same great feeling and tactical necessity that I find and enjoy in Dark Souls 2. Dark Souls 2 still has a great active playerbase, a fantastic PvP system and possibly the best DLC in the entire series, not to mention the fantastic music. While there are a few questionable things like Soul Memory instead of DS1's Soul Level pairing system, it's still a great game, and heavily recommend buying it.

(Although the biggest peeve I have is how DS2's dragon form is basically armor. Come on man, DS1's dragon form looks fantastic! At least it isn't as bad as DS3's though...)
