TLDR: Epic Mickey Rebrushed is an adequate yet slightly distorted way to play Epic Mickey

The Remaster of Epic Mickey is everything I was expecting it to be, especially coming out of this studio, who also gave us SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. The game looks good as ever in hd, although has suffered some minor artistic deterioration. This can be partially rectified by setting the gamma to a value more akin to the original game, which depended on moody, dark shadows for a lot of its atmosphere. However some things can not be changes, such as the cutscene that plays upon your first arrival to Mean Street, the original showed the paint thinner bottle falling into the wasteland, and unleashing a massive wave of thinner over the entire town, the remaster shows a little green shockwave and some gas... It doesn't make much sense considering liquid thinner is oozing out of every corner of this game. The addition of a sprint and dash move are much appreciated, however the ground pound does not seem necessary. Some of the levels have been changed, with some trickier secrets and collectibles being omitted in favor of more hand holding, not a deal breaker, but its something I wish they would have left alone. That being said, everything else is spectacular, the game controls like a dream (at least on keyboard and mouse) and I haven't had any issues with the camera, something that can not be said for the original.
