Does not follow battletech table top rules exactly but it stays true to the spirit of the table top. If you've ever wanted to play a mercenary campaign in battletech this is the game for you. The new game + options add so much life to the game that will keep you playing over and over. There is also multiplayer for those interested but I havn't touched it.

The DLCs are nice to haves but not really required, they add a few new mechs and biomes (maps and environment types). If you are just playing the traditional campaign you will not see the new content until after you beat the campaign and are free roaming.
