Absolutely worth it if you missed out/do not have time to grind. For $15, this is a LOT of content and some really nice cars, including OGs :)

The only downside is that it absolutely ruins the sense of progression when you get all of these cars lol, so best-case-scenario would be getting this after you finish the game :p

And hey, this was all grindable on a battlepass and the cars were free so no complaints ^^
Thank you to the devs that actually love and pour their heart out on this game, but still ♥♥♥♥ u EA for suppressing this rough gem <3

Putting the third-person POV and bad performance aside, the game is really, REALLY good. It feels like a 1.0 release rather than a beta. So many characters, an acceptable amount of maps with destructible structures, really good character design and borderline infinite potential for the game. There is no way this game falls off unless they REALLY mess up the monetization, and even then, look at how far Overwatch 2 has gotten.

If you're into team-based shooters, have a giga PC and you like or don't mind third person shooters, this game is absolutely PERFECT for you.
Those two are a dealbreaker for me, but I just KNOW this game is on par, if not better than Overwatch given how little time it has been out for. Hopefully this will finally get Overwatch to do something good. Give it a try, you'll love it.

This is genuinely a game changer. 60fps locked games, even fighting games, can be ran at 120 fps. I don't know what kinda wizardry THS used, but the latency isn't even that bad. I'm so impressed and I'm so happy this exists. This is so huge that I don't even feel like I'll need a new pc for a bit. I was already planning on upgrading, but this is literally saving me hundreds of dollars on singleplayer games.

Disclaimer though, it didn't work for my friend all too well. It is a buy and try sort of thing. If it doesn't work, refund it.

Also worth mentioning that it does add delay to games and games must be ran on windowed/windowed fullscreen for them to work, so I cannot recommend them for games where low latency is crucial.

edit: i can literally watch youtube videos at 240fps, what more could i ask for

You can beat it in under 2 hours.

It's also pretty good.

Great game with genuinely awful ideas. Battle passes, uninteresting gamemodes and... Locking vehicles behind limited time events? Seriously? Not just that, but the music is bad, the customization is pretty bad in general and this game has no essence, compared to older ones. Spinning the wheels is kind of a crutch in every sense. It makes me not want to "grind" at all. Not that you should grind mindlessly for hours, but I expect some sort of mission, unless this is a full on Sandbox game, which it feels like one. If it is a sandbox game though, why LOCK VEHICLES BEHIND LIMITED TIME EVENTS?

It's a great game that looks good, but man. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows in other regards. I'd rather play NFS: Unbound for more fun, even it isn't as realistic.

edit 28hr later, 6/14/25: i tried Assetto Corsa. This game doesn't even compare. The only edge is the ease of inviting friends and such, but Assetto is better in every way shape or form. I'd still rather play NFS, this is an uncomfortable middle-ground between the two so I'll stick with either of those two. I still hold the same sentiment about hte damn limited time event cars.

This was probably one of the most awful and negative experiences in a game that I have ever had in a game in so, so long.

[EDIT 4/3/25]
still true to this day

I'm having so much more fun in this game than I ever did on NFS: Heat. Unfortunately, I haven't finished the game just yet since I love customizing cars (at least 50% of my hours go to that), but I will say that the story, so far, is lamer than Heat's, and the bar is not high at all. As for everything else, well, it's great, but whatever, let's put it simply:

PROS
- Fun to play when you get home and want to turn your brain off or sweat to grind money.
- Great visuals (I don't mind the cartoon designs and the cars' SFX)
- Great customization, vehicle choices and decals (still no Supra tho, thanks Toyota)
- Drift builds are not the only viable option unlike in previous titles
- Cop chases, although too frequent, are very fun and fairly rewarding.

CONS
- The soundtrack is awful. I do like some, but most of them are huge misses. I see what they're trying to do, incorporating more lesser known/diverse artists, but it feels forced. The music, for a game of this caliber, is not good.
- Once again, to expand on this: Cop chases are WAY too frequent. I absolutely love the idea of the different types of cop cars, helicopter counter-play, etc. It is genuinely miles ahead, but it is so, so, so repetitive and happens so often that it turns into a neutral leaning towards a negative, because you will get sick of it.
- For some, limiting retries during a day/night cycle can be extremely restricting. For me, it's a fun challenge, so I don't mind it. Polarizing to say the least.

Price
For $70+? Too much. No game, unless it's GTA 6 or something else that is groundbreaking, should be this much.
For $60? The industry standard. Still too much, but if you love racing games, go for it.
For $50? Honestly, I believe this is a fair price and should be the actual price. Tons of value for $50 if you like cars, racing games or NFS in general.
For $40 or less? Worth it. Absolutely.

I have a i5-6700 and an RTX 2080. Very slightly above the minimum requirements. After lots of tweaking, optimization from my part, lowering to the smallest resolution and turning on DLSS for performance, the game still ran very, very poorly. Maybe a GPU bottleneck, I'm not sure. Even if it did run at a smooth 60, the game would still look pretty bad. I can see the concept and the videos are amazing, but it runs so, so poorly.

update 10/29/2024
just upgraded to a Ryzen 7 7700 and this game runs so damn good. it's so damn good.
