Back in 2013 December, i bought Rust Early Access, it was an amazing open-world survival game with building and pvp options. The first two years i have played it very active and had some good experience, but sadly Rust had a hackers wave and i decided to take a good break and later on i re-join in 2021 Summer and open up my own rust vanilla community. Everything changed from Graphics, Maps, Options to Items.
Everything was new, which sold me. It shown that Facepunch Studios was able to develop it in a good amount of time with a lot of features.

Its an extremely good game and recommended to play.
Not only the active monthly updates are good, but the entire mechanics.
There is just one purpose, its to survive. Everything wants you to die.
Dont trust anybody in-game, Do whatever it takes to last another night.

Find a community and server that fits your requirements.
There are so many ways to play Rust, from RP to Minigames.

Rust is definitly a game where you would easy spend 1,000 hours on it.
Its worth to buy it :)

Pros
+ Detailed Visuals, Objects and Environment
+ Monthly updates
+ Good building system
+ Farming is love
+ Weapon Mechanics
+ Controls
+ PVP is balanced

Cons
- More updates, means more bugs or less tweaking
- Could maybe implend new ways of protecting your base
- More Puzzles would be awesome
- Some benefital admin tools
