This game was crazy satisfying up until the part where the new unlocks felts like they barely impacted the world and the whole map felt fully explored. Then it just felt like I was searching for something new. But man, up until then? What a ride.

I really loved this game, but I couldn't really get any of my friends into it, and without people i enjoy spending time with playing it I found myself getting too serious and too competitive and with that too try hard, and with -that- i found myself getting angry, so I uninstalled it for my own mental health. If you are the type to enjoy competition without that toxicity inside you, then this really is something special. The destructible environment, every weapon having a totally different feel from another, all 3 classes feeling unique in their identity... You can tell this dev team truly cares about their product.

Run in a circle simulator

While the quirky retro style is fun, the game play loop is basically non-existent, the variety is next to nothing; choices don't really make much of a difference to the game play style, and even the maps are not that varied. Just pop it on the highest difficulty you can (Mythic I, you have to defeat that in order to access higher which is kinda lame on its own), and play through it once after you bought it for maybe 10 bucks on some steam sale. It's just not that satisfying to play over and over.

I haven't seen sunlight in 3 days. Tell my wife and children I love them.

I have no idea how I did from a benchmark standpoint on this. The game was smooth and gorgeous, and I laughed my ass off when they asked if I wanted to look up the skirt, I said no, and then they were like "REALLY?! YOU REALLY WON'T?!?!?!?!" XD

I think I'm the only one who actually tried to use it for benchmarking.

If charm was personified and choices in Telltale games actually impacted the in-game universe, you would have Night in the Woods.

The art, the atmosphere, the writing, the characterization, everything in this game is on point. I challenge you to play it and find things to complain about.

Never before has a game made me bond so quickly with a fish.

If you liked Boogeyman, you'll enjoy the sequel more. It's more polished and refined, the game play mechanics are tighter, and the graphics are smoother. A few finicky issues from the first one have been completely redesigned, and the story is just as engrossing.
