If this is the only way you can get your hands on this great game, do it. I don't care how ♥♥♥♥ the port is, I've not had too many issues with it other than occasional annoying crashes. Honestly, the game is fantastic. A huge improvement on basically everything from VC. Great story, the best music selection in any GTA, the best characters in any GTA, really tight driving controls, quite possibly the dumbest AI in any GTA, brilliant and fun storymode missions, the atmosphere of San Andreas, its forests, its deserts, its three cities, is phenomenal. Freeroam is still fun as ever, just driving around, getting your wanted level up, trying to see how long you can last, classic GTA goodness. Only real complaints about the game are the offputting graphical bugs and a few annoying side missions, but other than that, it's a masterpiece.

It genuinely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pains me that the only way to officially buy this amazing game first hand is now is the absolutely abhorrent, terrible, piece of ♥♥♥♥ that is the definitive edition. It isn't even worth your spit. It are pure awfulness and everything wrong with modern AAA gaming in this perfect concoction. If you don't own the game and would like to play it, either buy it second hand, or do what you want because you are free, you are.
