This game gets everything the first one gets right and better. Genuinely my favorite game so far this year and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves stealth games/tactical games.

If you get it PLZ consider the supporter edition. The devs deserve it :)

Sorry to glaze but it's just THAT good imo.

If you're looking for a game that sucks and isn't made with love, definitely don't buy this game.

I love the devs, I love the playerbase, and I love the game. Probably not gonna get a lot of playtime in recent weeks because of school, but when the semester finishes, I'm playing the CRAP out of this game fr.

The brutal sbmm, the lack of content, the bugs that haven't been fixed and the blatant bias towards wanting people to play the stupid battle royale bs has been enough for me to be honest.

I'm tired of freaking battle royale ruining everything in every game franchise man.

Everyday I see greed ruining everything I like, and companies need to learn that they can only wipe their butt with their consumers so much before people move somewhere else or start creating some real competition.

When Battlebit: Remastered comes out, these publishers are gonna REALLY learn the hard that you can make way more money making games that are actually fun and respect players' time.

Edit:
Adding the fact that Nickmercs tweet wasn't even that bad all things considered -it's not like he called for violence or hatred or genocide or something, he only expressed his opinion about some school's decision(it's not like his opinion actually matters anyway, he's literally just a COD streamer). Whether you agree with him or not, there are way worse things people say and do out there when it comes to anti-lgbtq stuff, and plus this whole controversy could've been avoided if Activision didn't die on the hill of adding skins of real people to the game(which almost nobody who's an actually fps fan asked for).

Wanted to see if I got better. Lost every single match without fail and it wasn't even close for at least 12 games in a row. I don't know if there's sbmm or what, but I always get the team that doesn't play objective.

I think it's because I usually play objective, so they expect me to carry the team by putting me on teams who don't play objective. It sucks.

I hope the playerbase comes back, because the game was fun. Sure it was buggy, but I think the game has potential, and each update has brought some pretty cool stuff. I don't get what's with the hate.

"When I play this game I feel like a space ninja superhero."

While they don't update the game anymore, the content that is there is so quality that every match is ACTUALLY different. The map design is fluid, and dynamic and supports so many different playstyles. There are some weapon balance issues(especially with the CAR), but the game doesn't feel like it was built to be balanced.

An interesting thing about this game, is that it's pretty much a "steamrolling tug o' war". You could steamroll the other team for lik 75% of the game and they can still make a comeback if they steamroll you back.

I used to really enjoy this game as can be seen by my hours, but now I'm sad to say I can't recommend it to anyone expecting lots of content.

The game has a decent amount of content, and the content that is there is amazing, but you can only play the different game modes on the same several maps for a little while before it starts to get stale and boring. It also doesn't help that NWI seems to be drifting away from the feedback of the very community they depend on, as they fail to expand modding tools, fix longstanding bugs, and going silent 70% of the year with only two small updates annually.

The devs almost seem to not care much about the game or adding more content anymore, and it feels like its future is uncertain, especially during the writing of this review(2022).

What's really frustrating is they keep fumbling the bag despite all of the feedback and help the community wants to provide. Updates that do come out nowadays(which are scarce), feel like a perpetual "almost", because they usually have good things, but they never really commit to making every aspect of those things perfected.

Here are some examples of what I mean:
Night maps:
-there is a night variant for every map
-night gameplay is completely different, requiring lots of playstyle adjustments
-have many different tactics depending on equipment, and the map's lighting
BUT...
-Only PVE

Mod support:
-can add really cool weapons, models and maps
-adds a little more content to keep you playing
BUT...
-forced to use in-game mod.io with long download times and poor compatibility with updates
-have to use community server browser to play, which isn't very good and very unreliable, as well as seemingly only full of PVE servers, with very few MODDED PVP servers
-very limited in what can be done to the game, hence why ISMC disbanded because there was only so much they could do before it'd just be repetitive and uninspired

Community map contest:
-many cool, innovative and interesting maps were submitted in this contest
-included night maps, day maps and many different environments to add diversity to the game's map selection
-was engaging, and gave the community a sense of importance in the game
BUT...
-a SINGLE map from the whole contest(which was months long and had dozens of submissions) was added...that's it

Cosmetics:
-lots of cosmetics for each part of the body
-choice of color, camo, etc
-most are free, but there are a small few that require money
BUT...
-most are good at best, or downright ugly at worse
-had ANOTHER community competition for new cosmetics, yet this time they didn't even bother to put the winning submissions in the game
-despite modders proving that many cool and highly requested cosmetics could be added to the game, it still lacks them.

Transparency:
-used to have development live streams with some leaks and Q&A's to give the community something to look forward to
-used to have polls, and they would give updates and responses to the major results from them, and try to fix the update to appeal to the community without breaking the game
BUT...
-they don't do much anymore
-have boring, irrelevant articles on the news page that don't really inspire any hype or will to keep playing

Limited gamemodes:
-admittedly, some are pretty fun
-something to do while waiting for updates
-spice up the unending gameplay loops
BUT...
-we haven't had a new gamemode(limited include) since the addition of Ambush
-limited gamemodes are as follows, or as some variation of -> some version of Frenzy, squadron 666, some "insert weapon/weapontype-only" mode, no ads high-speed, and night pvp
