Would pick a side-thumb if I could. The premise is good and it's a charming game but the soccer gameplay isn't fantastic and there are quite a lot of bugs and things not working quite right. Although none of the bugs stopped me from completing the game, I did have to force quit the game and lose some progress once and also there was a story mini game where I had to turn off Vsync or otherwise it didn't work. Besides this, there are general issues with collision detection throughout the game, and there are quite a few side missions, which isn't a bad thing, but some of them just feel like a waste of time - I created a few Steam guides for some of the more annoying side quests to save someone else's time in future. Also a real lack of music (e.g. soccer matches have no bgm) doesn't help.

The game's biggest issue is that it just needed a bit more playtesting. Many NPCs show a Talk button but say nothing at all, some issues are just a lack of care e.g. an NPC standing next to a graveyard saying "the graveyard is locked" after you've already unlocked it, or the shopkeepers saying they are in trouble even after you've just finished the story quest to solve their problems. I could accept an NPC on the other side of the world not saying the right thing based on the story's timeline, but when an NPC literally involved or next to a thing says the wrong stuff, it breaks the game's immersion.

All these sorts of issues make me feel the game isn't worth the asking price. I got the game on sale at 75% off and I feel that was ok all things considered.
