I have 70k+ hours in this game (I don't use the Steam version anymore but the time on Steam is added to my total play time from the original client).

The people in this game are trash low life. 95% of the people. It's a small community. Everybody knows each other. A lot of fakeness, backstabbing, and have cancel culture like Twitter. Be careful who you talk to.

The game is very heavily grindy. It also has a lot of pay walls. Purchasing K-Ching doesn't help you out as much. Market price is insane. End game items are generally 1 billion ED each. There are many required items for end game. You'd have to spend at least $1,600 to be considered stable and caught up.

If you want to advance yourself really fast, you need to buy ED from ED sellers (which is considered illegal to KoG). A lot of players end game you see in this game most likely are ED buyers. ED sellers/buyers are known as RMTers (Real Money Traders). It can range from about $20-$33 for 1 billion ED.


If you don't take the RMT path, you basically will be spending at least a year and a half to catch up. This is assuming you legit have a road map for this game, and grind every day and waste your stamina from 100% - 0%. Even if you get to this point, there are still many things for you to do after. Even RMTing won't be enough.
RNG systems in this game are very very rigged. Socketing, enhancing, grinding item drops, pulling items, and equipment identifications are brutal. You will 100% struggle with this. This is where you will probably succumb to RMT.

The Item Drop Rate System is unlike other MMOs.
The EXP/ERP system is very grindy after level 200. It will take you two years at least for you to reach level 400 or 500. The higher your EXP lvl is, the harder it is for you to receive EXP. You will feel rewarded in a small way once you hit level 250. That won't last long.

You won't be able to PvP properly unless you do everything said above. Even if you play the top classes, you will still have to do almost all of the said above to get by.

Customer Support in this game is one of the worst. They will make you feel like you're talking to a wall. They are bias toward certain players. There have been many cases where they would go against their ToS, thus punishing players unfairly and unevenly. You may check out their ToS at their website. "At GM Discretion" is a loop hole they use to justify their "rights." This is where the bias comes in toward certain players.
