I think this is it. The end of the road for me.

The quality of the content keeps dropping. Activities are being released in a completely unplayable state. As I write this, the Rushdown activity is live. Out of the five games I’ve played, only two actually made it to the end. The other three? Soft-locked. No way to continue, no rewards. Less than half my time in this activity has actually given me anything in return.

And then there’s the crafting system - basically abandoned. New seasonal content? No crafting. Despite my 3,000 hours, I have a life. I work 9-5. Crafting was the one thing that helped me keep up without having to farm for hours. Now you have to grind broken activities for a chance at getting the weapons you actually want, in content you paid for. Oh, and you have 160 days before that content is removed entirely. Again - content you paid for.

I can’t, in good conscience, recommend this game anymore. If you pick up the DLC on sale, there’s some fun to be had. If you have friends, the raids are still great. I’ll probably keep raid-logging until my group burns out.

Great return to form for Risk of Rain.

The Prov trials are awful. Some of them are seriously bad. There are a few fun ones, but for real it feels like 80% of these have some extra mechanic or a rule that just makes them completely infuriating. Some of them make me want to leave a negative review out of spite.

Game used to be pretty cool on launch, and the community was funny back then. Eventually children took over public rooms, and perverts took over everything else. I've watched my friends play this game, join weird social circles, adopt their values, and become morally bankrupt. At the end of the day it's just a platform, but damn it hurts to watch. Be careful of the company you keep if you play this.
