There are so many things I want to say about this game. It's just great start to finish and I never once felt anything short of genuine enjoyment playing through it. I gave it 100% on my frist runthrough after ~45 hours with some messing around and no time was wasted.

Zodiac Age does so much to fix some of the only bad parts of the original. This game is absolutely one of the best Final Fantasy games in the series and it'd be a disservice to not play it.

70 bucks for a tekken game, I can do no problem
However, a battle pass that you can't just buy but have to mess with a premium currency for PLUS some whack balancing patches like four patches in a row AND weird game bugs that seem to get worse and not better kinda kill the drive for me to learn.

Game was good until they made it suck. Many such cases.

Please help me. I am trapped.

Overall, I found the game incredibly enjoyable, but not without faults. The game itself is well made, with the driving mechanics being what initially interested me the most. The car felt appropriately weighty and handled like I felt it should, being able to strafe, turn, etc while being responsive. Overall, a big highlight for me was driving in Cockpit view, exploring the city and finding interesting NPCs to learn about the lore of the city.

However, it was in this exploration of the city and progressing the story that I discovered one of the only major issues I had with the game. There are certain points in the game where dialogue is unskippable and works against my enjoyment due to the sheer amount of information overload required to go through before I can interact with NPCs, Shops, etc. Another small issue I had was that there were some NPCs that seemed to be created for the express purpose of being caricatures made exclusively made to hate. This was fine the first few instances that came up, but after the 5th or 6th time, it feels like less of a person that's meant to exist in the world and more of a zoo exhibit to point and laugh at. Some people may not mind it, but it was noticeable.

In sum, I recommend the game for the Story, Driving, and Interesting world that the Cloudpunk team has created, giving you nice 8-10 hour experience at base with some replayability in future playthroughs to see different story beats and go for 100% completion. While some things stood out to me and made me roll my eyes, the overall experience more than made up for it. Definitely check it out!

After 1.5k hours I can say the game is pretty alright. I haven't stopped listening to the Pro Skater soundtrack since I got the K-Drive. Recommend for anyone that likes abilities, grinding items, and seeing big numbers. 9/10
