It’s been a year since the tragic death of Jedediah Kerman. He was a man dedicated to the pursuit of science and the expansion of our species into the stars. He boarded that rocket knowing the risk, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. As we push to further the bounds of our own technological capabilities, we will never forget the sacrifices made by him and the countless others following in his footsteps. I hope that as we reach distant stars and spread across our universe, furthering our own understanding of the place we inhabit, that his name is one of the few that are known throughout our culture and history. Jedediah Kerman, gone too soon, but one who will be remembered forever.
