Pretty cool so far, feels a bit like what Fallout should be in my mind. Haven't actually had much issues in the way of FPS or lag, though my 3070 does only get me ~45 FPS with some screentearing. Honestly good enough. Fights feel good, the world is great, though there is a lot of walking and running but that's kinda what you signed up for. Bloosuckers can eat my ass though, I hate em so much

TLDR: simple but very good tactical shooter

Already played it in its early state and it was very solid if shallow, now with friendly AI added and new missions it is great. I saw some people complaining that it's extremely basic which, yeah you're not coming here for impactful story, though the documentary styled cutscenes are very well done, the gameplay itself is just "you four, go ♥♥♥♥ up those insurgents", that's it and that is exactly what this game should be. A solid simple shooter with bombasic sound and tough fights.

I haven't had any performance issues on a 3070,

it's a pretty neat, cute and relaxing game with decent combat. I understand a lot of the complaints about this game are that it's very slow and doesn't really have a point beyond leveling up and building your base, but I think that's actually pretty chill. It's a neat game to just put a few hours in on occasion. Definitely recommend

It's a neat defense game, nothing crazy but looks good, controls good, really all you need

I remember getting close to the end of the main campaign shortly before the dlc was announced and thinking "I don't want a dlc, I don't want any extra content. The world CDPR has created and the stories they have written here are perfect and there's no way to expand it that would feel as good". Well damn have I been proven wrong.
Phantom Liberty is amazing and expands Cyberpunk in all good ways.
Now, is it what I expected when I heard it would be a "detective thriller" leaning into a specific sidemission. No, not really. Is it good af tho? Yeah it is!
It introduced a lot of cool new stuff but never felt like it replaced the original, rather it fit nicely into the world CDPR has crafted.

10/10 buy it

Trepang2 is a modern FEAR game. And by that I mean it is almost a 1 to 1 recreation in some points. The protagonist is basically the same, 106 might just be the pointman with an extra cloak ability, effects, environment damage, explosion blasts, horror x fast paced shooter, it's all there.

And that's a good thing.

Graphics wise it's nothing impressive but nothing bad either, you can already tell that it's running on UE4 by the first few frames and there's really nothing wrong with that. It does what it needs to do.

The story is flat but enough to carry this kind of game.

Though it is rather short, 5? missions plus a few wave survival parts is really not much and while there are collectibles in the game, well the HVT board, it's not gonna have a lot of replay value.
The horror aspects are allright except for the backrooms, which, while actually kinda scary, are just such a memed scenario that it takes you out of the setting and makes you ask wtf happened there.

Overall, it's a neat little horror shooter with fun gunplay and not really much else.



Bit expensive but should it go on sale for the christmas/winter sale it's probably a fair product.



Also just wanna add that A: I specifically avoided all spoilers for the game so the story was slightly more interesting for me than it might be for you and B: The trailer really showes off everything in the game, all spooks, all levels, most interesting moments, very odd choice.

I really want to like this game, really.
It has a lovely artstyle, generally enjoyable gameplay, great characters and fantastic writing.

But it also has the most frustrating gameplay I have seen in a long time.

There's a lot I want to say but apparently I only have like 2000 characters here, which is less than half my review I typed, so I'll make it short

There's a lot of good and great things about it but the combat is really bad, massive amounts of enemies in confined spaces with buggy platforming and a saving system that not just regularly loses you up to half an hour of gameplay but also respawns all the enemies around you so you can instantly die again.

Giving this a negative review hurts me a lot because, I spent 10+ hours in it in two days (steam didn't record all of it since I launched it from the .exe a few times) so SOMETHING is good enough to keep me engaged for that long, there's so much the game does really good but it's built ontop of a fundamentally unfun base.

Now you may say that's is half as bad, the game is still nowhere near completion and will be worked on and all these issues may be fixed but
This isn't bugs, for the most part, it's the main base gameplay that's the problem and that's not something that will just be patched out, this is the very first thing a game should nail down before anything else.

And while I could just hope that the game will be fixed in the end and the release will have none of these issues, a wise man once said that you should review the game you bought, not the game it might become, and the game I bought is just not fun.

Really makes you wonder why those fake ad makers don't just make these games?

Unironically fun af and makes the ADHD brain happy

A masterpiece as far as I'm concerned, my new favourite game after years.
Now it is ridden with glitches but in all the time I played they rarely went beyond some messed up lipsync, wrong LODs loading in, even t-poses happened only a handful of times. The game occasionally stutters when entering or leaving menus but runs fairly smoothly at 60fps (30 in very demanding environments) outside of that. Crashes are barely a problem, only happened a handful of times and some I outright provoked.
The storytelling is fantastic, characters are charming and the setting is truly breathtaking. Night city feels like a living place, though a bit less if the game refuses to spawn npcs in, allthough even then the areas feel lived in.

If you're okay with a cheesy performance that feels like it got ripped straight out of the head of an 80s scifi writer on cocaine, get it for sure!

very stable, large selection of weapons and all around good gameplay.
