I was originally going to let this game pass me by, purely for the reason that I don't actually own a webcam. I have one built into my laptop, both my iPhone and iPad have cams but as I'm not a streamer I haven't actually had a need for a webcam as part of my PC gaming set up. Then I read it was possible to play without one and thought "Why not?".

Firstly the game runs very well with just a keyboard and mouse, I get the experience must change dramatically with a Cam but you can still get invested in the story with just a simple click of your mouse to blink.

Secondly I don't appreciate what this game was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time, that being reducing a fully grown man into a choked up mess. I wasn't really expecting to be put on such an emotional journey. The story telling is exceptionally good, the dialogue and voice acting is of a standard I don't often see but greatly appreciate.

I enjoyed the game mechanics with being able to manipulate objects around me and most of all I really enjoyed the game's aesthetic. I'm not sure what the art style is called exactly but I've started to see it crop up more and more since playing Life Is Strange and I think its great.

So I've listed all the games pros so now would usually be the time I'd start listing the cons but to be honest, I can't actually think of any. There wasn't anything about this game I didn't enjoy. I would recommend using a webcam to play the game as intended but don't be put off if you don't have one handy the game is still enjoyable without.
