What happened?
Helldivers 2 announces that, from June 4th, a PSN account will need to be linked to your Steam account to play the game. You will not be able to play without one. This, in and of itself, wouldn't be an issue, however... A lot of regions worldwide are completely region-locked out of making a PSN account. They just can't. Moderators and Community Managers have been on damage-control within the Discord taking the stance of "this was always the plan since pre-launch. We had to suspend account linking due to server instability." Ignoring the fact that the servers have been stable now for a good while. A lot of players from the region-locked areas, rightfully, were concerned as they won't be able to play the game that they'd purchased and been playing for ~3 months with no issues. Community Managers have since gone quiet and are desparately trying to get answers from Sony as to how these cases will be affected by the mandatory linking, leaving everything for these consumers up in the air and concerned that they've essentially been scammed.

Can you see the problem yet?
The devs knew since before launch that PSN accounts would be mandatory, and yet still were selling the game within these regions and never thought to do even a little research as to what that entails for their consumers. They have had MONTHS to get these answers for the players in affected regions but instead chose to spend their time doing pointless balance updates and rushing out content at the speed of light. People within these regions have played hundreds of hours and are not an insignificant portion of the playerbase. Essentially, Sony doing anti-consumer actions and Arrowhead not stopping to think about their consumers.
