This game is an absolute garbage fire, frequent disconnects, no possibility to rejoin a match, always-on, phone-home DRM makes even loading the menus annoying, amoeba level AI make playing solo pointless at best, frustrating at worst (unless you enjoy roasting ants with a magnifying glass, then picking on the AI will be great fun!)

And then there's the monetisation and customisation! All the positionals on any given team are identical copies of eachother, if you want to give any kind of character to your team, you can buy individual pieces of gear from the ingame store, and i mean INDIVIDUAL pieces literally, you see a cool black orc gauntlet you want to give to your all your orcs, you will need to buy the same item 6 times, repeat that for the head options, left and right shoulder options, left and right hand options and for the body options, certain teams can run you well over $100 USD to get SOME cosmetic changes on all your players. Do you like to play mutation heavy teams? well, too bad, mutations are no longer visually represented on models... but i'm sure they will add them to the store at some point. And make no mistake, what little cosmetics are already in the game, are arbitrarily paywalled, NONE of it is included in the base pricing of the game, if you want an idea of how much 12 individual pieces of cosmetics costs in real money, just compare the base edition price of the game to the Brutal edition. But hey, at lease the paint is free!

give this game a pass, if you really need a bloodbowl fix, go back to BB2 before they decide to pull the plug on the servers to force people on this crap cashgrab, if you want the new 2020 rules, Fumbbl has you covered.

It's.........so..........boring.

I've followed this game since before it was released, and I've really wanted this game to be good. But it's just not.
It's a game that confuses difficulty with randomness and RNG. A game like Dark Souls is difficult because it's skill based and engaging. This game is random and makes you shut off your brain from even caring. It's really boring to just send in waves of nameless adventurers hoping that after they all go insane (and they will ALL go insane, don't try to fight it) they will stumble through and make it out. So much of this game just makes me think "why bother?" when the whole point is to just keep throwing ♥♥♥♥ at a fan until some of it goes through. Once you pass and you should feel great you realize you're still bored and covered in ♥♥♥♥.

I cannot recommend this game enough! The gameplay is solid, fast paced, and fun. The learning curve is perfect. I often open up the game and play 2 or 3 matches when I just have a few minutes free time. Zoo have put a lot of time and effort tweaking this to make it perfect, constantly upgrading the AI, the UI, the feel and speed of the game. This is a gem of a game, that has been expertly polished. No downsides, just fun especially for the price.
