I came back to this series after many years away (I only played the first AC). In fact, a friend gifted it to me and my viewers insisted I try it :) I'm glad I did. I have only a few hours in the game so I'm keeping this brief.
Positive
So far I'm impressed with the world design, story, dialogue/voice overs, quests, discoveries, and most mechanics of the game.
Negative
Aside from a control system, HUD, and user interface that were made for console controllers I'm enjoying AC:Odyssey.
A HUD scale slider and a bit more intuitive keyboard/mouse UI would have been spot on.

I was not optimistic after the opening Leonidas fight training blended cut scene. It felt way to Dark Souls for me, which is not a good thing. But I gave it a chance and the combat and game are much more forgiving and enjoyable.
I'm giving this a solid 8/10
