Pick it up when its on sale for ~5 Bucks.

Artstyle is great and the music is fantastic. Overall story is pretty good, the writing... could've been better.

Bad:
Multiple twists are so blatantly apparent to anyone paying attention, that it actually soured the experience. Not all twists, but during the mid to late game where the drama was at the highest, it really hurt the story the most.

Besides that I think some choices/endings were cut because of some interactions that happen in the game, most notable in the lategame, that just dont fit as well as they should. Not the end of the world, but I think this explains the "rushed" feeling that some other reviews mentioned to some extend.

Good:
Using multiple characters, interweaving their stories together and making this into a interest overarching story is still a amazing achievement. All different in their own way and charming to play as.

The game especially excels in its more interactive parts, where it actually questions the player and makes input part of the gameplay. The puzzles involving more unorthodox methods of solving are probably my favorite. All dialogue leads somewhere, but order and time can affect the outcome.

As a side note: The game only really has a 2 "horror" scenes. These are at the very beginning and give you somewhat of a false impression imo, BUT it has lots of tragic stories about death and related topics. It doesn't cheapen the experience at all.

Fantastic Rogelike Deckbuilder. Doesn't even require poker knowledge, you pick up on the combos you can execute easily and from there on out it's just your brain and combo execution.

Absolutely worth the prize.

Disco Elysium is a triumph of storytelling and artistic design.
It offers a immersive and intricate journey into complex political themes that few games dare to explore.

From the very start, you're confronted with a city teetering on the edge of social and political chaos.
The characters you meet are richly developed, each representing different viewpoints, and you can choose to embrace or reject these beliefs, each with their own benefit or detriment to your character and playtrough. The consequences of your choices are woven into the narrative seamlessly, making every decision meaningful.

The writing in Disco Elysium is unparalleled. The dialogue feels real, making every conversation a joy to engage in. The hand-painted art style complements the dark, noir-inspired atmosphere perfectly, and the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack adds layers of immersion. I can't get enough of the soundtrack that plays outside near your starting location.

While ZA/UM and the original creators are currently struggeling to resolve the issue about the games intellectual rights, I still wholeheartedly recommend this game to any and all interested in its themes.

OG Devs are gone, new Devs are removing content that was in the game as a incentive from the funding.
Changing backstories and Scenes to "remove bad looking content" from the public eye alienates the real fans that supported it until now.

Revert this, embrace what it is and learn from it for the future. Dont be silly and retroactively edit concept art to hide your censorship.

Fantastic follow up mod for a true Darkest Dungeon Experience.

Adds new Trinkets, Upgrade Systems and fun Enemy Units that will surprise you on your way through the Dungeons.
The new Narrator Voice surprised me for a moment, but I personally enjoyed it, though noone will ever beat the OG VA and his lines.

I love this simple game and its music!

Great MMO-esque Game for people that love Shooters with friends.
No seriously, no friends = no fun.

A true hidden gem, play it if you can. A story heavy game which is focused on fighting. The atmosphere of Hong Kong and the story are PERFECT!
Will keep you immersed for the whole duration!

After initial scepticism, because I am not a rogelike/roguelite fan, I was put of the idea of buying the game - even after the initial look at it was pretty positive and I freaking love the artstyle.

Since the release, the game got praised SO MUCH by the general public and multiple groups of friends I have, that all like different genres, so much so that I got curious. Supergiant Games is known for amazing games and I´ve enjoyed their work so far.
So I decided to just give it a try and BOY its fun.

The Artstyle, Story, Characters, Dialogs, Music, Gameplay... everything just syncs up so well with each other.
This Game is a steal even at full price.
