I cant say much since its an early access title but I'm having hell lots of fun with this game.

It's a tactical turn based strategy RPG where you compose your party and explore a procedurally generated world map.

Since it's an early access game, I wont comment much about the gane but I will review the developent.

I'm pretty sure that the developer of this game has passion and clear direction on where the game is going. He's trying his best to accomodate players feedback and helping you fix bugs if you find them. But he is but one man, so if you want to participate in shaping the game then BUY IT!!

So it's all there is to it, I need to finish my game by leveling up my party member to 10, clear every evil centers then hit a new game. What a new game? so I can never finish my game? well its endless after all.

This sandbox detective game is surprisingly addicting. There are many ways you can sovle your case, by scanning the fingerprints, looking for the datas in a government or workplace computers, or just barge in on a suspect's house and steal everything valuable in the process.

My favorite way to solve crimes is just barge in on a suspect's house with my favorite weapon that always by my side, a TRASH CAN. It's free and very effective to knock people out, and it also worked as a shield, what more do you want?

I've been using it to knock enforces that tried to shot me, an angry suspect that had been chasing me because I sweep his house clean of valuables and informations, a random muggers that want to take things from me but only got a trash can in the face instead, or an angry CCTV employees that caught me watching the recordings in their desk and many more.

So I declared myself as a trash detective. I sovled two murder cases with the help of this most useful thing in the world. Trash can is love, trash can is JUSTICE.

This is a casual game about a stranded sailor, a nobody. But given the time and experience you can turn yourselves from a nobody that owns nothing into a renowned sailor who owns luxurious ships and a high rank accross the multiple guilds.

Why casual? Because the game is so relaxing. There's no ship damage at the moment, so you can ram or beach your ship without worrying about repairs. The combat also not hard but also not easy. The animation is not as near as Elden Ring or other AAA titles but it's just enough. Not bad.
If you feel overwhelmed by the enemies you can just run for the ocean and swim away, the aggro will be cooled down and you can pick the fight later. If you are in a dungeon, just look for a higher ground, as far as I know the enemies can't climb so you can just bow and flintlock your enemies away. It's no big deal. FYI, I played the game on normal difficulty.

So it's a boring game with no challenge then? It's a yes if you look for something like that. But for me, the appeal of the game is the casual nature of it.

The feeling when you are on a ship, and watching procedurally generated island on the horizon. The feeling of anticipation and wonders will fill your adventurous heart. Is that island have those rare white jutes for my luxurious rug? Will I find those deer heart for the quest? Will there be a pirate hideout? Because I need to kill 2 pirate cooks.
There's no ship combat at the moment, but I like it this way. But if the developer decides to add one based on community request, then it's ok too. I just need to adjust my expectation while sailing, I will use those spyglasses to look for a potential threat. Gone the days that I just chill out and fishing while my ship is cruising through the waves.

This game has lots of potential. What I want when it enters 1.0 release is the ability to claim an island. So that we can build there, and if multiplayer is happening we could work together to build a pirate paradise and build our own community base where players can share resources with others and show off their building skill.

This game is an Early Access, and what's important for an early access is the developers. They are open and friendly. They don't try to invalidate your arguments, instead they, will support your concern, if you ask nicely of course, and please add pets, I want a parrot in my cabin, or a dog that can sniff buried treasure and picking bones from the undead.

In the end I wanted this game to be a success, and it's worth buying for what it is.

It crashed everytime I loaded a savegame.

For the current state of the game, no don't buy this.
There's even an in-game notice that your save might be gone.

My mother stopped giving me allowance because I skipped all the class because I was sent to hospital by a bully. Now, i refuse to go home and just sleeping in the benches like a hobo. Now I joined the gangs and I'll take revenge to that bully and my good for nothing mother, nothing can stop me even the principal or police.

10/10.

UPDATE: The developer finally added ocean travel, now those robust map generation is complete.

You should buy it because this game will rivals those three I mentioned.

You see nice random map generation in the trailer eh? it generates many forms of lands, continents, archipelagos. But no, you cannot sail across so you all will be stuck in an Island and cannot go anywhere, and this feature is not planned in the near future so I suggest go play something else like:

Door of thrithius,
terra randoma,
cave of quds

as for the state of the game right now? no I don't recommend it.

To be honest, this game has caught me by surprise.

In the surface, it's just like a normal top-down shooter with cute pixelart. But it's not, it has a complex system like gun recoil, scope-aiming just like FPS and the developer has modeled it right, genius.

There's also a cover system which the enemies can't see you while you were behind a them, nor can you see the enemies, so you need to be smart to use them.

There's a FOV soyou can only see everything in front of you but not your back, unlike those low-effort vampire survivor clones where you can see everything. This makes the game more challenging, you need not only to use your eyes, you need to use your ear too, there are some noises like footsteps, growls, almost everything living in there want a piece of you.

Start on rookie, get good, learn the systems, it's a hard game but it's easy to learn.

I will make it short

you can be a beggar that can beat up a bandit then marries them on the spot. I don't know if it's an intended behavior or a bug but sure it's a 10/10

If you have difficulties in climbing down ladder in this game, like I do then don't buy it. If not, then buy. It's a good zombie game, but I don't recommend it until the Dev decided to change how you can climb down the ladder.
