Dragon's Dogma is GOTYAY.

Take 2 cups Monster Hunter, add 1 cup each of Dark Souls and Shadow of the Colossus.
Add a small amount of Berserk and a hint of Devil May Cry.
Bake until Golden Axe.
Serve with an excellent PC port.
