after playing for a couple hours, i can safely say the game is good

A must play for fans of the eldritch, unknowable, and body horror. Not for the faint of heart, nor casual players. Part of the horror is knowing you may lose hours of progress from a simple encounter, and as such trial and error is an integral part of the gameplay.

Absolutely neccesary for QOL changes. Has some cheats included, but disabled by default.

My short playtime is pretty misleading. I've probably put thousands of hours into v0.47.05 alone before the steam release, and I gotta say, this is one of my favorite games of all time. The level of depth and the freedom to build what you want, and tell your own stories is great. Infinite replayability. The new controls, while hard to adjust to given me memorizing the 70 nested construction menus in previous versions, are a welcome change once getting used to. I welcome all the new players to this amazing game, and hope that people like me continue to support Zach and Tarn Adams as well as the Kitfox team for years to come.

I'll be eagerly awaiting the continued updates, adventure mode, and the new levels of insanity they add in future releases.

As of writing this review, I have played through the game once, on normal difficulty.

LISA: The Painful RPG, is one of the greatest games I have ever played.

I'll leave it at that, because nobody is going to read my review.

So, I was all like, "Aww, thats cute!" Then, when I encountered the first 'Specimen' I was screaming and crying to my mom. And that was just the first out of 14. This game has it's cons, but the pros outweigh them by a lot.

I'm not sure why i enjoyed the game so much when I was younger. Probably because it was free, and the scale impressed me.
