Off on another adventure are we?

-- Gameplay --
Story is decent. It wasn't amazing but personally i do not care much for story play. If the game plays well and i find it fun then it is good enough for me. Combat is the highlight of the game and flying the broom was also fun. It had smooth on/off take offs making you very agile and efficient in doing things around the map. Since the game has so much things you can complete in the way of 100% achievement hunting, it makes me continue to play the game. There's also a lot of puzzles, which i for the most part enjoyed figuring out on my own.

*Game has a lot of cut-scenes and conversations where you choose an answer, which is to be expected from an action-roleplaying game but it can get tiresome if you are not fully interested in the story and side stories.

-- Graphics --
It looks really nice even though i had to play on a mix of low/medium settings to not have so much stuttering/freezing and overall loading times to new areas. Running it on a RTX 2080 and 12th gen i5-12600K, 16GB ram and on 144hz. Even though i played on low/medium settings i still had moments where my screen froze and continued after 1-2s. I had 2 crashes throughout my play-through, but it was mostly caused by me shift-tabbing to Steam while going into a loading screen in game. Which caused it to just close down. Only thing disappointing in the way graphics looked is your characters face. When you make it and see it in a close up it looks great, and when playing it looks different. In a worse way..

*The game is however poorly optimized at this time and during loading times I've turned to my phone to pass the time.

-- Difficulty --
I played on Normal mode. Most of the time it felt easy and sometimes i struggled a bit and got overwhelmed with what spells to press and to block or dodge roll. However this was only when there was a lot of enemies and it didn't cause me to die. Overall i had a good experience and i didn't feel like it had to be harder for me to enjoy the game itself. I felt no need to use plants or potions that make you stronger to be able to complete fights on Normal mode which i don't think you should have to do to complete on Normal. However for Hard mode i think it should be difficult enough that you want to utilize those abilities. But i have no experience if it is that way.

*For a non gamer i think Normal mode may have its difficulties, but experienced players will not have much problem if any.

-- Game Time --
Story would most likely give you 20-25 hours of game time, and if you want to do all side quests as well then you are probably up towards 30-35 hours. Completing the story and 100% all of collectibles on one character took me about 46 hours. Didn't skip cut-scenes, but sometimes forwarded the talking conversations when I've already read the text. Can definitively be done faster but i wanted to also enjoy the game. As for 100% on Steam you need to play about 2 hours of each house extra. Putting you at 52 hours. This will of course vary from person to person and how much experience and how efficient you play.

-- Price --
Reasonable price tag, considering how big the map is and how much things there is to do.

-- Bugs --
There's a few bugs, but i haven't experienced anything game breaking. It may force you to reload your game from a previous save or just die and reload last checkpoint.

-- Improvements --
There's no moral system so choices you make don't really matter. Quidditch is not playable and having no fly zones is kind of annoying. It would also be good to be able to turn off or skip small cut-scenes when you complete a Merlin trial or similar. Cause i did not enjoy watching 95 Merlin trial cut-scenes. Voice pitching on your playable character also sound robotic at times. Larger gear bag from the start would also be a good change. Even when i had it maxed out to 40, i felt like it was full all the time.

Overall the game was enjoyable and i had fun completing it. If you are a big Harry Potter fan you will probably enjoy this even more, as there is Easter eggs and a lot of places that are in the movies/books are actually there for you to go to.
