The combat of this game is incredibly fun and stylish, with a bunch of weapons with unique movesets and a bunch of characters with unique skillsets, and it's also very skillful and has the quality of being easy to play, hard to master. It really does feel like a fighting game battle royale.

The presentation and environment design are also top-notch. I'd often have to stop myself from just staring at a nice landscape and get back to looting. I really like the character and weapon designs, and it makes me want to whale to look as cool as I can.

Battle royale isn't the only mode, there's also deathmatch, a PvE campaign, a bunch more I haven't touched yet, and a new capture point team battle mode, and they're all fun since the core game is so well made.

The in-game purchases can get a little scumbaggy, but it's all strictly cosmetic so it won't interfere with you if you don't want to spend anything. Half of the cosmetics are still earnable for free, anyway.
