This game is poorly made from the ground up. Its been in development for 10 years and is in pre-alpha level in terms of pretty much everything. Totally unfinished even from the basic character creator that does not even have a face option, just hair color and a few styles for some races lol

The hint of nostalgic fun is what has people buying it along with people that backed it for $100 and even $1000 over the past 10 years in kickstarter form before it made it here to steam for a last hope at more money to a failed game.

You can get this same style "old school" RPG from games such as Project Gorgon on Steam for $10 and not this $40. hat game is even farther along in development and has more fun to offer. You can also still play and buy everquest games on here or other old school MMORPGs this game is trying to emulate. You are better off playing those.

This game has really slow and boring combat, the fun comes from the party you play with as the game is trying to force team based progression which is a good thing, many people enjoy teamwork being needed. Others will hate that though as you cannot solo easily or at all for some content.

When you die, you drop your bags and gold that you had in inventory and lose XP and can level down. That can be annoying if you try to solo as well and even as a team to run back to corpse and be spawn camped by a boss lets say and die again and run back 10-15mins

The last reason I refunded is because they are not sure if they will charge a monthly subscription once the game is released out of early access. If they cannot tell me how much the game will cost me and are charging me $40 up front to work for them as a tester, then I cannot let them keep my money until they know how much they plan to charge in the future 100% and inform me of that.

I cannot recommend this to anybody other than those that already paid $100-1000 or more and feel they were robbed and they are trying to get fun out of that money while they can. I see a solid couple thousands are playing so far, but most MMORPG players get bored and stop playing after a few weeks or after the first month, I hope it survives and the devs actually work on the game, it needs a ton of work, if they can improve it in every aspect, the IDEA behind the game is solid and I will buy it in the future if they can somehow save this game as its in a poor state after 10 years right now, one of the worst ive seen after this long of dev time.
