No other game that I've played in the last few years grabbed me as quick as Hades did. I would go as far as to say that Hades is now in my small collection of all time favorite games. This review below is how I feel about Hades.

The rogue-like gameplay that themes around Greek mythology. Paralleling with Sisyphus's torment of getting a small to major victories but only to go back to the beginning but not with nothing but with experience and wisdom (and all your loot). The Boons and Curses you gain from the Olympians will aid our main character Zagreus forward to his main goal.

The Interactions with all the gods and souls you meet along the journey are all great, Zeus being thunderous and energetic, Dionysus being mellow and relaxed. Seeing many of the Olympians interact among themselves is always a fun conversation to be in. With conversing with an Olympian we can learn about their history, past relations, wisdom, the hot gossip of whose with who.

The combat is fluid, you can play it fast in like 20 mins if you feel risky, or you can play it slow in like maybe an hour and be tactical. Weapons can vary how you play; As well as the boons that the Gods bestowed upon you. Each god have their own elemental or status effect damage; I'm sure if you know Greek mythology (or look up some guides) you can take a guess what each one can be.

Without ruining the entire story and talking your ear off about all the mechanics that are behind this game; I want to end this review here and say I would highly recommend this game to anyone that wants to play a quick game or go to the grindstone.
