My journey with these games started all the way back when the legend TotalBiscuit made a video on the original Risk of Rain, I instantly fell in love with the game and this remake is probably where my journey with Risk of Rain will end. *cough* ♥♥♥♥ Gearbox *cough*
However I will still keep up with Hopoo Games and their next projects because if the quality of this game is anything to go by, they will be very very good.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yes. some enemies are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast but there is always a way to deal with them

I beat it and man.. I want it to just keep going and going. The mechanics are excellent, the atmopshere is incredible, the music and the sound design as a whole fits perfectly.
As much as I wish it was longer I think it ends in a good way and wouldn't want it to drag on.
(Kinda hoping for updates/dlc or a sequel game to add onto this amazing game world.)
This is probably my game of the year.

By no means is this a great game, it's more experimental and a chaotic mess.

It's fun.. I think? It's kinda generic but it has some weird little quirks that make it.. not stand out but differentaite itself from other games in the genre. So if you like borderline experiemental games with an old school feel, then this might be worth checking out.

If you're looking for an actual game with polish, deep and thought out mechanics, grand innovation, etc.
This is not the game for you.

This game is terrible, unoptimised, buggy. The story is basic, the rp in rpg is very limited.

The one thing that saves this game is the modding scene, if you have any interest in this game I would highly recommend you look into modding it or just get a better game in the first place.
