The game feels like Black Mesa meets SCP and has an old-school vibe.

As a lot of people have said, this game can be VERY unforgiving. If you miss one wall placement, or lose one wall, it could very well mean the end of your run.

Anyways... I played the game awile back and I rather enjoyed it, but there was on glaring problem with the game that still bugs me. They used a square grid system instead of a hexagon grid system. What does a Hexagon Grid System have over a Square Grid System? Simple. Square only provides Horizontal and Vertical, whereas Hexagon adds Diagonal to the mix.

I don't know if they ever plan on going from Square to Hexagon, but I feel that it would make the gameplay a far better experience.

Also, back when I played it, there were a few problems that I feel could have some updating. 1) Unit Pathing - Units got stuck all the time on larger bases, especially when another of the problems showed up... 2) Not knowing if a unit could get passed a structure because the camera angle blocks the ground. Easy fix? Just have a button that highlights the grid in different colors eg. Green for Walkable Terrain/Red for Non-Walkable, and if 2 Greens aren't directly connected, then they can't walk it, or something like that...

Do I still recommend the game? Currently, yes, but I haven't played it in quite a long time. Some of my complaints could have been changed since then. I probably had more complaints as well, but these ones currently stick with me. I will hopefully play this game again sometime soon to see if my review still holds up.

Had a save data issue, so I contacted support. They wanted Google ID information, as well as IOS or Android information. How they expect this of a Steam user, I do not know. I told them that I only play on Steam and they requested the same information, but then added "We need your Customer ID#. I found out that the Customer ID# is located in the game, which didn't have access to because my data was no longer connected to my Steam account.

I don't understand how they got this game onto Steam without having it actually supported themselves.

As it currently stands, I do not recommend this game on Steam because their support is non-existant for Steam users unless you copy down your Customer ID# located within the game, and even then, they might not help you because they ask for a large list of things that was on your account; (Here's a list of what they asked from me)

Original Player Name:
Original Customer ID:
(Located in Menu > ETC > Customer ID. Should be in ####-####-#### format.)
Player Level:
Max Stamina:
Amount of Gil on account?:
Amount of Magicite on account?:
Amount of Summon Tickets on account?:
Amount of Ability Tickets on account?:
Names of three (3) or more Faeries/Spirites/Companions Owned:
Size of Card Storage (if it's default size, do not provide this information):
Size of Card Box(if it's default size, do not provide this information):

Job Cards Available in your Deck:
Names of Ability Cards Owned/Number of Stars and their Level:
Date/Time you first played the game (including time zone):
Date of Last Login (including time zone):

Have you purchased any Magicite/in-game item(s) in the past?: (yes or no)
If yes, please provide the following information for each order purchase -

Name(s) of Item(s) Purchase:
Order Total:
Currency Used:
Date/Time of Purchase:
Order ID (iOS) or Google Play Order Number (Android):

They really need to link your account to Steam instead of what they are doing.

I hope the information I have provided helps others in not losing their Save Data if they somehow happen to lose it, which happens. Not many people can remember even half of that stuff, and some of it isn't even applicable at all to a lot of players.

I will still continue to try to get my Save Data back, but Square Enix seems to have horrible support for this game on Steam.

I love how this game gets slower or quicker based on how well you do... The animations are great for what it is, and the amount of fun you can have from pressing a couple of buttons in such a simple game is insane.

Unforgivingly fun.

One of those games where you have to learn by having a hands on approach because every run is always different than the last.

The only good thing about this game? The cards.

I played it for 7 minutes. What is there to do in this game? Remove blocks and place blocks, with some jumping. That is it. Another bad aspect is the resolution...

It says it is in early access, but after about a year of its release, there doesn't seem to be anything worth noting.

Loaded it up to check for a few other things... There aren't even sound options!

People are complaining that it isn't a 16bit game... Well, that isn't even the biggest problem.

The biggest problem is related to the saves. If you close the game, expect to lose save data from the Auto-save. Other than that, the other 3 save slots don't work at all for me.

Don't expect to get all of the achievements in this game either. The game won't let you get them.
