Fightning games require precision control, and furi has them literally on point. The split second you have to block is so short that you miss it even during the 4th boss, but nail it often enough to keep you motivated, and the reward for actually blocking several attacks in a row is pure badassery! This is one of the games where I imagine to notice the delay between a wireless and wired xbox controller - either of which is by the way super heavily recommended.

Besides that, the art style is gorgeous and underlined by the incredibly awesome soundtrack. Each Boss has its own colours, own music, own attacks, attackpatterns, stages, specials but in such a variation that I never found myself able to predict what is going to happen.

The Tutorial is short but the game nails the "easy to learn, hard to master" in such a great way, that I never thought I'd need something like a training for blocking and whatnot.

It is this good that I am putting down my gamepad to write this review during my bachelorthesis :D

My only critism would be that there is (this far) only one finisher per Boss which is repeated. Also the characters look a little stiff in cutscenes, but if you genuinely care about that you wouldn't look at FURI would you.
