I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game. This one will always be a classic for me, and I would definitely buy a sequel if one were ever made -assuming it was made with the same cast and dev team.

TLDR: Buy this game and don't look back. Force this game on your friends, force it on your enemies. Duct tape them to the chair if necessary.

I just want to start by saying I haven't reached the end of all of the content, but as someone who has played since the release of the beta I'm amazed at the quality of development this team has put forth. The puzzles, stories, and characters are absolutely awesome, and there is a ton of content. Despite what people say about the game not being finished you'll find so many hours worth you'll start to wonder why the hell anyone was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Seriously, I would rather a game see continuous development and never be finished if it is a good game and their new content is quality content - who wouldn't? I think it would be really fun to add more relationship options with characters and other skills. Sort-of a sim spin on things, I mean we already have houses. I could definitely see Concerned Ape partnering up with Pixel Ferrets to create one of the best games of our time.

Finally a rare gem worth its money! It is simple and super charming! It lights up the childish Halloween vibes that I consistently crave. I waited until it was on sale, but it is worth the full price and feel no regrets with your purchase. As of currently there are several severs that are consistently full, but I would by a few extra copies for alt accounts if you have multiple computers because it is a great guest game or ice-breaker.

Hauntingly beautiful puzzles. I was so happy with it that I decided to buy about 10 copies for my friends. These are not your typical puzzles - these are the puzzles you wish were real. Don't second guess yourself - buy it. 10/10 masterpiece game! I can't recommend enough.

I'm so excited to play the second and third game.

I've played a lot more of this game on Xbox, and it saved me from a depressive spell were I was having some pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up medical issues. I actually convinced myself that if I could overcome this game I could overcome what I was going through, and it really helped. It is a strangely immersive dark puzzle game, and I wish more games were this creative with their story telling. There are some funny moments that I think were maybe not thought through very well, but I let them slide. :)

It had potential to be fun. However the game is broken.

Cons:

• Game breaking bugs, can't get passed a tutorial with claws, it's a documented issue that other people face, also the viral locator broke for me. I had to restart to get it working. In the end I wasn't able to progress because of the bugs.
  
• The story has perks, but tbh they drew out things that could have taken just a few moments to express.
  
• Delay time of a minute or so after the instructions obviously had gone through before movement was possible.
  
• There are like 10 NPC character models, and they barely have any lines for them. Nor do they follow through with their threats when you bump into them multiple times.
  
• The NPC character models are ugly, and there is only one woman NPC -which is strange lol.
  
• Can't break the cages that hold the civilians without killing them. I just think that is a bit silly and counter productive.
  
• Can't review further because the game is broken.

Pros:

• The gore is fantastic

I tried the fixes. The game is broken. Which is a real shame because it would have gotten an overly positive review from me. :( Don't buy this game unless the devs put out a patch.

(I understand the devs have split - it's still something they could patch though)

Boring game, boring guns, lame humor. It was an utter failure. I legit fell asleep playing it multiple times. If they wanted to grow on the first game and they wanted to use guns as their pinnacle of growth they should have looked at more creative instruments such as the weapons used in Ratchet and Clank. I'm not saying they needed to copy Ratchet and Clank guns, but they actually put some spunk into their creations. Borderlands guns... well they do essentially what you expect a gun from Borderlands 1 to do. Copy and paste. No growth, big waste of potential.

Borderlands is a weapon and class mod treasure hunt on a hostile alien planet - best played with friends. It doesn't date too well, but it was amazing in its prime, and I am certain I have spent more than a hundred hours in gameplay on console.
The GOTY edition isn't that much of an improvement, but I'm greatful that they gave it to me for free.
