The game runs with the same and even better framerate on my 2070 than it does on the 4090 and I suspect that it’s because of cooling or a lack thereof. The 3080 had the same issue. They overheated because they pulled much more power than they were rated for.
And yes, there are settings that allow to get acceptable framerate, no argue with that. You can drop resolution, disable volumetric of whatever, disable some shadows, lighting etc. But with them graphics looks worse than in the first game. Not just worse, but overall disgusting. And even then there still will be some stutters. That doesn't make any sense.
State of this game is unacceptable.
If people can't figure this out with their high-end PC, they should buy a PS5 and stop wasting money.
Performance do need fixes, but the game is running fine. And will get better.
the number of apologists defending the 30 fps target is simply embarrassing. The bar for modern day games is so damn low it’s buried.
