"Oomph, Uugh, Where is it?"

Pros:
● Amazing graphics
● Nice animations
● Smooth movement
● Destructible voxel-based environment
● Good soundtrack

When it comes to cons it's hard to just list them without saying anything about the game. There are some game design issues that make ARKOS kinda forgetable:

● First of all, you have only 1 ammo type and all the weapons (except for the teleport) are just better ammo/dmg ratio with same projectile types. There is no point of using previous weapons once you unlock the stronger one, which makes you end up playing almost the entire game with same wand.
● The second issue are enemies - most of them will just slowly walk towards you, dealing dmg on collision. Some of them can shoot as well. The only thing that changes through the game is that enemies will get recolored sprites and more HP. I think there was only 1 or 2 enemies with some special attack.
● And the third: the level design. There were a bunch of levels where the main path was hidden behind secrets. I have a bunch of experience with this sort of things so for most of time looking for the secrets felt really nice and intuitive. However, there were some levels where finding the main path was actually way harder than finding all the secrets in the level - making players run all around the map and hugging the walls is a really questionable gameplay design.

Overally I liked the game (mostly for the nostalgy it gave me). Yet, it's still far away from being a memorable experience.
