Well, if you've read or watched Journey to the West you should be familiar with the story. This just barely resembles it.

Monkey (Sun Wu Kong) is ENSLAVED™ by Trip (Xuanzang) to Journey to get the sacred Buddhist scrolls in India. Cough* I mean get the girl back home...
