What an amazing game. So much to love about this game.
The audio? Makes you tense up in your seat having to listen to the crying, pained moaning, and psychotic laughter as you desperately try and run through a burned/infected district. Hearing "There he is!" or "Hey, you!" when walking around at night is honestly so scary as you jerk your camera at high speeds to see who spotted you.

The gameplay? Nail biting infected and death RNG meters that could end your favorite character's life while you watch helplessly. Desperately rushing around town trying to fulfill not only the main story quests but specific character's quests as well. Praying that your attacker doesn't break your guard as you health bar is at a pitiful level. Scurrying between both the steppe and the town trying to gather herbs for your medicine/trading with the townsfolk for the last essential item you've been looking for. All of these contribute to a game that forces you to always be on the move and have a plan in your mind.

The atmosphere? Amazing. The clashing of religion between the kin and the townsfolk, the conflicts between the inquisitor and the army commander, the dead and decaying color palette of the infected/burnt districts, the ominous kin chanting you hear from around town, and overall the gradual rotting of the town near the end game.
I also love how there's no jumpscares in this game, but the overall atmosphere is what get's you to crack.

This game is difficult, and it knows that. You'll probably get your ass kicked, and that's fine. There's a reason they provided the difficulty meters, which are accessible at any time. However if you choose to tackle this frustration you learn that it's not how many times you get knocked down, it's how many times you continue to push forward to save the lives of your town. (In the Haruspex's perspective) The town that you've might've abandoned in the past, but have decided to stick by it during this awful time because of love and justice of clearing your name from a blood soaked murderer to a saint.

The only downside I see to this game is the ending, and all I'm going to say is that it's not terribly bad, I just wished it could've been handled differently.

TL;DR : Play this game it's like adult Animal Crossing with Dark Souls difficulty, and for theatre kids.
