Everybody's talking about the bugs, but the core game itself is just bad. Really bad.


UPDATE: About 2 years later It's still not ready. The game is not strictly unplayable anymore, they fixed enough of the bugs so when it runs it's playable. That said it's still very much jank, a *lot* of oddities and lesser bugs are still in there, but if you can stomach Kingdom Come Deliverance and other Eurojank then you will have already learned to accept it.
Big issue for me is that it doesn't properly run at times, the awful performance has actually gotten worse with updates and I'm experiencing very frequent crashes on patch 1.6. You *need* a high end PC and a good bit of luck to properly play it. Not even a 3080 can achieve 60fps without DLSS when at 4K, which is frankly ridiculous.

Technical things aside the game is still incomplete. They added essentials such as cosmetic slots and the ability to change your character's looks and much needed balancing, but it's still very clearly unfinished the tremendously shallow. The most complex mission in the entire game is the one where you get the Spiderbot from Maelstrom right in the beginning.
If you expect roleplay depth, multiple outcomes and important decisions like there was in Witcher 3 you will be deeply disappointed. There is a reason why most people recommend you should play it as a loot-shooter.

Also the mods are quite lacking. Few mods actually add more gameplay elements, it's all mostly porn.
