A Fun and Engaging PVP Shooter, But with Room for Improvement

As someone who’s not usually into shooter games, "Marvel Rivals" has completely hooked me. This PVP team-based shooter offers a refreshing experience with charming and witty voice lines for the characters, making the game feel more personal and enjoyable. The battle pass strikes a great balance between paid and free content, offering plenty for players without making it feel like you have to pay to enjoy the game.

The gameplay is engaging, with a fantastic variety of characters to choose from across tank, DPS, and support categories. Each character feels distinct, and the difficulty levels vary, making it easy for both new players and seasoned veterans to find their niche. The character abilities are diverse and add a lot of strategic depth, allowing players to tailor their playstyle. One of my favorite features is the terrain damage — being able to destroy buildings while shooting at them adds a realistic and immersive element to the maps that I absolutely love.

The game also features a great variety of challenges, which require you to play different characters to complete. This mechanic is brilliant because it pushes players out of their comfort zones and encourages them to try out new characters. It’s a fun way to keep the gameplay fresh and give you more goals to work toward.

However, there are a few areas where the game could improve. First, I’d love to see more maps (which I know the developers are working on), as additional variety in the playing field will help keep the game exciting and unpredictable. The addition of more characters would also be great to further expand on the diversity of playstyles. I also hope to see more game modes and events in the future, which I’m sure will help keep things interesting long-term.

On the downside, there are still a lot of optimization issues that need to be addressed. There are frequent disconnections from matches due to crashes, and the servers are often unstable, which can really disrupt the experience. Another issue is the matchmaking system — it doesn’t seem to take skill level into account, so players are often paired with others who are either much more experienced or just starting out, which can lead to imbalanced matches and frustration.

Overall, "Marvel Rivals" is a lot of fun and offers a unique twist on the PVP shooter genre, especially for fans of Marvel. The characters, abilities, and strategic gameplay make it stand out, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of optimization and matchmaking. With more content and updates, this game has great potential to become even better.
