"Grind is content" - Rahetalius (Warframe youtuber/critique)

Grinding is the main time-spending element in Warframe. For a very long time, I praised Warframe for using fun gameplay across a wide variety of characters (Warframes) and making grinding fun, but the fun gameplay that this game provided would eventually begin to dwindle as grinding got more ridiculous, and quickly became a part of every aspect of the game. Warframe does not do grinding right anymore, and because of this, Warframe is no longer fun, at least not for long.

I started playing this game around the time that it launched on ps4, switched to pc a few years later and had loved it ever since the Plains of Eidolon update came out. Sure, the void key system changing to the relic system had upset the overall playerbase, myself included, but I kept on playing the game. Everything that followed Plains of Eidolon may be slightly different in the form of the grinding that you have to do, but at the end of the day you would be spending many, many hours to get stronger equipment, resources, etc to literally do the exact same thing, BUT FASTER! For example, killing eidolons lets you get resources to make your character stronger and kill eidolons faster, but for what purpose? Mods? Arcanes? That would have been cool a few years ago when the grind wasn't as samey and terrible, and there were much funner things to utilize those with, but in the game's current state there's nothing for you to have fun with after you receive all of those "rewards." These "rewards" that we have now are not rewarding at all. It really comes down to one thing that veterans and newcomers alike eventually face...

WARFRAME'S LACK OF AN ENDGAME

Progressing through the game is still fun to the new playerbases that start playing. Wait, playerbases? What do you mean? I look at the overall playerbase as a division of different levels of player generations, an example being, "I started back when the first starchart was a thing," or "I started when Fortuna came out." For a very long time now, since around the elimination of void keys, "endgame" players would begin quitting the game, occasionally coming back to see what new content has been added; now as you progress through the game as a newer player, you will eventually come to a point where you are at a content standstill along with veteran players, and the newer generations of players alike. Let me ask you, why do you think that Warframe has "SO MANY REGISTERED USERS?" It's because older players are constantly leaving and new players are constantly entering and with the way that development has been progressing, it is taking FAR LESS time to get to the content standstill that I and many others are already at. Seriously, that gameplay can really hook you in, but you will get to a point where it stops being fun and the grind becomes too much, it happens to everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I loved this game, if you couldn't tell by the stupid amount of hours I've invested in it (And also quite a bit of money as well) but as the game is now, and is quickly progressing, I can't recommend it to anyone. There are a bucket full of more problems that this game and its developer has that you can see others talking about on the internet, but this is the biggest problem for me. Try to find another game to get into. You don't want to end up like me and thousands/millions of others always waiting for Primed Disappointment.

Also, if you are interested more about the other problems with this game and or its developer, Digital Extremes, I highly recommend watching Rahetalius's videos on it.
